Absolutely. Canto School is made for English speakers learning Cantonese. English meanings, recorded audio, and Jyutping—a pronunciation guide using letters and tone numbers—help you get started.
What’s free?
The app is free to download, and your first stage is free to learn. There’s no trial countdown. More lessons, full Word Bank access, and additional practice are available with an optional monthly Full Course subscription. You’ll see the price in the app before subscribing.
Do I need an account?
No account, no extra password. Your learning progress stays on your device. Private by design: speaking attempts are temporary and never uploaded.
Which phones can I use?
Canto School is available for iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later. There isn’t an Android version available right now.
Is that Auntie from the videos?
